Insurance
Most group insurance plans cover massage therapy. Here's how it works.
- 1
Ask for a receipt
Mention it when booking. The receipt is issued in the name of the person receiving the massage.
- 2
Check your coverage
Maximum amount per year or per session, and whether a doctor's prescription is required.
- 3
Submit your claim
Online or in your insurer's app, with a photo of the receipt.
Common questions
Why aren't some associations accepted?
Massage therapy isn't governed by a professional order in Québec. Each insurer chooses which associations it recognizes. Our therapists are members of associations recognized by the main insurers.
What's on the receipt?
The therapist's name, member number and association, the date, the length and the amount paid.
Can I get a receipt for a massage paid with a gift card?
Yes, in the name of the person massaged, on the day of the treatment.
I don't know if I'm covered.
Check the "paramedical care" section of your insurance booklet, or call your insurer.
